Xian to Hua Shan mountain and plankwalk

Named as World’s Most Dangerous Hiking Trail

Last days I spend wit two Swedish guys on Hua Shan mountain near Xian. We took the train early and walked up the mountain to the West Peak. On that point we booked a hostel an visit the real West Peak. The hostel was hard to sleep very cold and hard beds. At 4.30 we climbed via the central Peak to the East Peak to see the sunrise. It was cloudy so the sunset was nog that beautiful as we hoped. But after the sunset we tried the plankwalk. Thats a awesome expirience! Walk on plank with nothing beneath. We did the full round to see the other peaks. Now we are tired of the thousands of stairsteps and ready to grap a deserved beer at the hostel!

For lunch we tried another local restaurant. I like the dumplings! Mike learned me some Chinese words so now I can order beers count a little and say beauty. Thats always good to know 😉 Today slept till 11.00 so thats nice I think I needed some sleep.

Chinese is very difficult because of the tone differences.

If you want a quantity of it you have to put ger behind it.

Cycling the Xian citywall

After arriving I just relaxed and met three new travelmates from Germany, Australia and the UK. We biked on the citywall of Xian. Its touristic but defenitly something you have to do when you’re in Xi’an. After getting hungry from biking we had lunch. We tried a lot of streetfood (even chickenfeet) and the famous dish (yángróu páomó) in the Muslim area. It’s lambsoup with bread and noodles. In the evening we ate at a local restaurant, drunk some beers and a bottle of baijiu! (Nice ricewine).

Xian train station to Warriors Youth hostel in Xian

You can grap a taxi (15/20rmb), take bus 103 (1 rmb), go with the subway (2 rmb) or ask a guy on a motorcycle (15 rmb) to bring you to the Warriors Youth Hostel. The last option was nice!

The Warriors Youth Hostel is a good and clean hostel with comfortable beds. I like the place!

When you’re going by the taxi, ask the taximeter. When you take the motorcycle negotiate before. When the city is busy avoid the traffic and take the subway 🙂

Forbidden city Beijing

Today the Forbidden City was open! What a big building definetly one of the highlights of Beijing. After the forbidden city is the Jingshan Park with a nice view at the Forbidden City and the rest of Beijing. At Jingshan park old people are exercising and have a good time with eachother. After a hotpot fastfood lunch with Megan I catched the train at 16.30 to Xi’an. 12 hours resting 🙂 only thing is that my train arrived 6.30 in the morning. At the train station I took a motorbike taxi to my first 5 dollar hostel. Warriors international Hostel.

Nightmarket Beijing

After my french friends were gone I found a dutch guy and a American girl to hangout. Finaly we end up in the mc Donalds at 2.30 it was worth it 🙂 Today I went to the forbidden city, but it was closed! Try it tomorrow again. After the failure I went to the night market to eat “something” strange. I tryed a normal Chinese kebab and the scorpion. It was nice, like if you eating a crunchy chickenskin. In the evening I ate in the hostel together with two girls a normal big burger with fries.
