When you are in Hanoi and want to get the bus to Sapa just walk into a travelshop or ask your hostel or hotel. They can offer you a busticket between $10 and $15. I took the sleepingbus at night. This nightbus will pick you up in Hanoi at 21.00 in the evening and you’ll arrive in Sapa at 6.30. (9.5 hour busride) The bus is nice and you have your own bed. Big luggage will be in the luggage space in the bus.
Today I did a citywalk and visited the Vietnamese water pupptery in Hanoi. A one hour show of music and Vietnamese water puppetry. You can visit the show for 60.000 till 100.000 VMD ($3 – $5).
Three days two nights boattour at Halong Bay Vietnam
Last three days we had an amazing boattrip on the water of Halong Bay in Vietnam. First day we picked up at our hotel at 8.00 and after a four hour busride we had lunch on the boat. The food the entire trip was perfect! We went to the first islands in Halong Bay. With good feeling for imagination you could see a lot of animals in the rocks on the islands.
In 2015 I did a motorbike tour in Vietnam. One of the best times in my life! The freedom and adventure are amazing. You never know what the next 10 minutes will bring. Break downs? Do you see cows or buffalows on the road? Nice sea views from the mountain? I love it!

He normally buys motorbikes between 150 and 200 depending on the condition of the motorbike.

This morning we got up at 7.00 and were on the motorbike at 7.30. It was little foggy and after a half a hour it started raining. We get soaked but. Was this the nicest day of the adventure? No, but buying a motorbike in Vietnam was a great thing to do and this is part of it. We made it from Ho Chi Minh all the way up to Hanoi. I’m glad I did it!

For the first time in vietnam we had to wait for a train. For breakfast we had a beef noodlesoup. When you do your roadtrip make a list of things you want to eat and translate that. Or just go and see what the can offer you. They don’t speak English in the little villages. After breakfast the we saw the sun and we got into the mountains with amazing views.
