This morning we took the slowboat from Muang Khua to Muang Ngoy Neua. Before I picked up my breakfast at the local market. Some mandarines and bananas. Always a good start of the day. I saw on the local market also some strange other stuff, one of the pictures below shows it. I think it is a bad or something.
We had to wait for the boat and took a coffee at a local restaurant. The boat from Muang Khua to Muang Ngoy Neua and the other place we depart at 9.30. It is good to be there 9.00 and make sure you’ve tickets. The tickets costs at least 100.000 Kip (10 euro or $12) to Muang Ngoy Neua but also depends on how much people are in the boat.
Thats is amazing! You’ll see mountains, little beaches, local people fishing, Buffalo’s in the water and so much more. It is worth it. The The boat boatride took 4 hours. from Muang Khua to Muang Ngoy Neua.
We arrived in the little town of Muang Ngoy Neua there are no roads or real cars. We stayed in the Rainbow guesthouse. Nice proper double room for 60.000 kip (6 euro or $7.5).nIt was high season and easy to find. More other people offer us to stay at their hotel, guesthouse or hostel.
On the mountain you can go to the caves and take a look at the viewpoint. definitely worth it 🙂 The view is amazing. The caves are cool. Make sure you’ll bring a mobile phone or torch for the light in the caves. The trip to the viewpoint and caves costs 10.000 (1 euro $1.20 dollar)
