Mui Ne has two sets of sand dunes located about 22 km. from the beach, and a smaller cluster of red hills about 7 km. outside town. Every travel agent on Mui Ne’s main strip offer tours that include these two sites.
Tours usually are run in jeeps with four people, but are available as solo tours on motorbikes. With the distance and heat, the jeep is the better option. Prices for the shared jeep tour run as low at $7 per person while the motorbike tour will be about $35. If you don’t get the price you want, walk out. There are lots of agents. Rent a quad yourself is $10 for 100cc (20 minutes) and $20 for an 300cc quad (20 minutes).

He and his family lives on the country side of Vietnam. Hai went to Mui Ne and starts his own Kiteboardingschool over there. But to become the owner of the kiteboardschool he has to work hard and believe in the opportunities. I went to Mui Ne to met Hai he told me his full story. Wow that’s inspiring!

After a good sleep in a cheap hotel near the lake we went to the mechanic to fix little issues. Filled up our fueltanks, got breakfast and enough water for the first few hours. Lets go!

Do you want to learn, kitesurfing in Vietnam? I think Mui Ne is a great spot to do it. I had 7 hours of kitesurfing in Mui Ne. After the 7 hours of kite surf lessons I could stand on the board!
The instructors of the Vietnam Kite Boarding school speak English, Russian, Spanish and German and of course Vietnamese! My Instructor was Ramon a Spanish kite surf instructor who speaks good English. He makes jokes but when it is necessary to be serious than he is.

The lessons starts with theory, safety and practice on the beach after that you’ll go into the water with the instructor to practice the theory. When you can do that you go alone for practice. And finally you’ll go with the board.
