Bikepacking along the Rhine

Set off on a solo, cross-European cycling adventure—Tour du Pisa—starting in Amsterdam and winding along the Rhine to Basel and finaly to the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. Over two whirlwind weeks, I pedaled through diverse landscapes and cultures, from steep climbs in the Swiss Alps to the sun-kissed coastlines of Italy. Along the way, I tackled surprise challenges (like losing my key and battling epic hangovers), shared laughter with fellow travelers (hello, English guys with “some” beers), and enjoyed the freedom of choosing between hostels, hotels, or even wild camping. Reaching Pisa felt like a triumphant finale—proof that a bike, a good dose of determination, and a little sense of humor can take you anywhere.
