Hi Hufriz, I think you have enough time to do the transfer. But if you want to feel more relax just order a cab and ask for the taximeter.(important so you dont pay extra) If possible take the toll way. It all makes it a little more comfortable with a child for little bit extra money. Why not I would say. Have a great trip!

    Hi Paul,
Thanks for being helpful to everyone.
I heard the floods are affecting the roads and therefore the Survanabumi-DM shuttle will take a longer time than usual.
I arrive at 2pm and need to catch a domestic flight at 5.30pm. Where is your recommendation for the best route and options to make sure I make the flight?
    Thanks!!

Thanks for the heads up! I’m not sure what is the best route to be honest.
You can maybe try to find information from the Airport?

      Goodluck mate!

    • Paul

Hi Dindo, that really depends on how busy on the airport and if there is any trafficjam. Last time I made it as there was no trafficjam and the check-in was till 45 minutes before the flight took off.

    Hello

We plan to go on october, sadly didnt get the best fare and connection to Ching may is smoehow set exactly against our trip….so we got to options:
Arriving 7:20 to BKK idealy and:
    9:20 Air Asia from DMK
    11:50 Air Asia from DMK
You can see that the times are extremly tight 2hrs (probably even not possible) or long 5hrs….so i just want to assure myself, there is not much i can do and the 5hrs is the way right?

    Thak you

There isn’t much you can do. Although you can always get some nice Thai massages in between flights! Nice meal as well and time will fly without even knowing it.

I will be landing in BKK (Suvarnabhumi) on a Thursday at 7.20 am and need to be at BMK airport for a connecting flight at 11.15 am on the same day.
Does anyone know whether I would have enough time to do both a visa on arrival and get the free shuttle to catch my flight on time?
Any help would be appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for this very useful information. I tried the fake ticket generator though but I did not see DMK in the list of airports. Have you tired using it for creating a ticket from DMK?

Landing in BKK (Suvarnabhumi) at 6:00 in the morning on a Sunday. Carrying only hand luggage.. is it possible to transfer to a domestic flight from DonMuang that departs 10:00?

I realize that this post might not receive any answers in time, but would still appreciate any answers as this would be helpful information for other travellers.

I have scoured the internet for this information but only found information about the shuttle bus – not any useful information about realistic transfer time. Most netizens claim the bus takes one hour, others claim they have spent 3 hrs in traffic jams and arrived too late for departure.. Any detailed information on realistic transfer time would be greatly appreciated:)

      Hi Martin,

That should be fine, I did it with only 3 hours in between and perfect on time! Otherwise, if you’re not sure, take a taxi. But I think you will be alright. Most domestic flights you can check in till 1 hour before the flight. Have a nice trip!

Didn’t know about this free shuttle bus, wonderful option! Used the (almost free ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) shuttle bus to Soi Rambuttri a few times… also a fast and good ride when staying in BKK
