Today I took the big aircon bus from Bagan to Kalaw. The same bus will go from Bagan to Inle lake as well. The ride took 8 hours and was nice. I looked out of the window the whole trip. On some intersections you could make easy 20 pictures of things you saw. Kids playing, old trucks, people selling stuff nice portraits of old people. But I was in the bus 🙂
One of ways to see the pagoda’s in Bagan is to rent an E-bike in Bagan. You can see a lot of pagoda’s and it is fun to do. The best things is that you don’t have to do anything and the wind makes the ride a little cooler.
When you’re going to Bagan you probably will see the sunrise at one of the temples. It is an amazing view! You will see the hot air balloons starting their flights and see how the fly over the amazing pagoda landscape of Bagan. I think fly a hot air balloon in Bagan above 4000 temples will be awesome.
I arranged my busticket from Mandalay to Bagan at the reception of my hotel in Mandalay. It was 9000 MMK ($9) for a aircon bus. They pick you up at the hotel 30 minutes before your bus depart. In my case at 9.30. And we drove away in the normal bus at 10. We arrived at 15.00 at our hotel in Bagan. (5 hours drive)
