Bus from Kuala Lumpur to Penang

Bus Kuala Lumpur Penang

When you are in Kuala Lumpur an easy way to get around Malaysia is the bus. It is quite cheap and fast as well. I took the bus from Kuala Lumpur to the Georgetown in the island in Penang. I bought a busticket to Butterworth in Penang. The bus will stop on the island and at the station Butterworth.

You can ask where you have to leave the bus and take the bus to Georgetown or use your offline map to know where you are. (for Georgetown get out the forst stop on the island) Another option at the station in Butterworth you can take the ferry to Georgetown. This will costs 1.20 MYR. ($0.30) You will arrive at the pier 500 meter from the center of Georgetown.

The busticket will costs 35RM and takes ca. 4.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth in Penang.
