Muay Thai Educational Visa Chiang Mai

Are you looking for a Muay Thai ED visa like I did? Let me explain a little bit more about how the process works.

After I trained Muay Thai in Chiang Mai in 2015 I knew I would like to go again but for little longer. Therefor I looked up the Muay Thai ED visa options in Chiang Mai and hope it helps you too.

I came across Chiang Mai Muay Thai School in old town of Chiang Mai to sort out the Educational Visa options for a Muay Thai Educational Visa 6 months or 12 months. They are very responsive on Facebook and email but let me explain a little here within a blogpost.

Couple of reasons you want to get an Muay Thai ED Visa

• You are beginner and want to learn Muay Thai from the best
• You are intermediate and want to improve your Muay Thai level
• You practise Muay Thai and want to fight in Thailand
• Want to become very fit within the period you choose!

There are multiple options to get an ED muay Thai Visa. I went for a trainingpack at CMMTG. Time of writing this article is december 2019 so the prices might be changed when you ready it but is a good understanding what you will get for what price.

Price One year Muay Thai ED visa Chiang Mai

The packs below you can check with Chiang Mai Muay Thai Gym in the old town of Chiang Mai they will also help you with all the paperwork every time its needed.

(1) 40000b for training 120 sessions in one year + 6000b for Visa document services, and extension cost every 3 month pay by yourself later 2000b for documents services and 1900b for immigration fee . Will get a certification of Muaythai training after passing our test.

(2) 30000b for training 90 sessions in one year + 6000b for Visa document services, and extension cost every 3 month pay by yourself later 2000b for documents services and 1900b for immigration fee . Will not get a certification of Muaythai training.

(3) Unlimited Muaythai training in one year. 60000b + 6000b for Visa document services, and extension cost every 3 month pay by yourself later 2000b for documents services and 1900b for immigration fee . Will get a certification of Muaythai training after passing our test.

Price 6 Months Muay Thai ED visa Chiang Mai

(1) 30000b for training 100 sessions in 6 months + 6000b for Visa document services, and extension cost pay by yourself later 2000b for documents services and 1900b for immigration fee . Will get a certification of Muaythai training after passing our test.

(2) 22000b for training 60 sessions in 6 months + 6000b for Visa document services, and extension cost pay by yourself later 2000b for documents services and 1900b for immigration fee . Will not get a certification of Muaythai training.

(3) Unlimited Muaythai training in 6 months . 40000b + 6000b for Visa document services, and extension cost pay by yourself later 2000b for documents services and 1900b for immigration fee . Will get a certification of Muaythai training after passing our test.

Process Muay Thai Educational Visa Thailand

Filling all the paperwork provided by the gym, they are very helpful with filling in all the papers and doing it correctly. I just went there and got all the things done. Select your pack and pay the amount in cash or bank transfer. If you need to transfer the amount overseas I definitely recommend Transferwise to pay as little as possible fee’s.

Waiting time for the papers Muay Thai Educational Visa
From the moment they received the money it takes 6-9 weeks to prepare all the paperwork at the Thailand education department. The gym will deal with all of this and just let you know what will happen.

1) Request ED visa when you’re in Thailand
The gym will hand you the papers and you’ve to see a Thai embassy outside of Thailand to get the Muay Thai ED visa in your Passport. See also process at the Thai Embassy in Laos below

2) Request ED visa when you’re back home
They gym will send all the papers to your address in your country and you can go to the Thai embassy in your Country.

ED Visa Process Thai Embassy in Laos

Make an appointment at the Thai Embassy in Laos. Click here to make an appointment with the Thai Embassy in Vientiane Laos.

1. You will get a number for that day by the online system
2. Be there on time and get your que number
3. Bring all the papers from the school
4. Bring a screenshot of your appointment
5. Papers what you get from the school
6. Bring a screenshot or print the confirmation of your booking.
7. IMPORTANT: Make a copy of your LAO visa in your passport.
   As you arrived to LAOS you didnt have this sticker in your pasport yet. So make sure after you arrive you add it to the papers the school provided you. You can do it in town somewhere before your appointment. Or within the Thai embassy in Vientiane they have a copy machine in the left building for a small fee.

Picking Up your ED Visa

• The next day you can pickup your visa.
• Get into the embassy
• Have a que number & wait in line
• Pay 2000 baht and receive your pasport and visa back

Now you’re ready to fly back and come back on your Muay Thai ED visa.
