Nice cheap hotel in Mandalay
The hotels in Myanmar are not really cheap. But I think for $20 a room is a good price. It was $20 for a single room and $30 for a double room.
At my first night I booked a night trough booking.com. The hotel was $20 and OK. I spoke a Spanish girl and she stayed at the Yadanarbon hotel that seems to be better for $20. And yes it was!
Checkin at the Yadanarbon hotel
A cold towel and strawberry juice when I checked in. Nice rooms with perfect big shower. In the shower they provide a shaving set, soap, bath foam, shampoo, toothbrush and comb. When I go back to Mandalay I will go to the Yadanarbon hotel again 🙂
Rent a bike at the Yadanarbon hotel
Normal it is $6 to rent a bike for the whole day. I needed a bike only for the evening and the offered the bike for $3. After some bargaining I could get the bike for $1 that evening. The next day I rented the bike for $3 the whole day. The bikes are good, have 7 gears and a little basket for some water or a bag.
