Day Tubing in Vang Vieng Laos

We started at 11.00 at the first bar. I had nr 23 on my hand. (nu number = no tube) And later I saw numbers over 200 that means at least 200 people are tubing that day. The first bar is a drinking game bar. Lots of drinking games with al the people who are there. The most of the time everybody start tubing from the first bar at 13.30.

Some bars have special extra’s like a balance fight on a bar with water under it or a mudpool.

Real Tubing in Vang Vieng Laos

After a couple of beers we went into our tube. We jumped of the wooden bridge into the tube. Or at least we tried 😉 In the tube you’ll float down river. At every bar there are fishermans. They trow a rope to you and drag you to the bar. Every day there are 4 bars of the 8 bars open. This will make the party better. More crowded in the bars.

After the tubing you can go walk to the village or take the tuk tuk for 5000 kip each.

My tubing tip: when I go tubing the next time I’ll go later and drink some beers in town. Thats cheaper. Maybe I’ll bring a little plastic botle of vodka redbull as wel.

Be aware for scams: I heard this story of different people. A Loas guy steals drybags and smashes GoPros out of hands into the water, hard to find them back. So take care and watch on your belongings. The best are shorts with zippers for your money.
